Our Mission at 3xG: Redefining Goalie Development

Traditional goalie stats only show part of the picture. 3xG’s mission is to connect game data, video, training, and feedback into one system that actually reflects how goalies play and develop.

For a long time, goalie performance has been judged by numbers that capture only a fraction of what actually happens in the crease.

Save percentage, goals against average, wins, and losses all matter. But on their own, they rarely explain the full story of a game. They do not reflect the quality of chances a goalie faced, the movement required before each shot, the game situation around the play, the preparation behind the performance, or the small execution details that distinguish a one-off save from a repeatable habit.

At 3xG, our mission is to change that.

We are building a unified performance system created specifically for goalies, coaches, development companies, teams, and organizations. A single environment where game data, video, training history, feedback, dashboards, performance resources, and AI-supported insight all work together instead of living in separate places.

Why goalie development needs a connected system

Goalie development is not one-dimensional. It is technical, tactical, physical, mental, and personal. Growth happens in games, in practice, in video sessions, in conversations with coaches, and in the daily habits athletes build over time.

3xG is designed to bring those pieces together so they can actually inform each other.

Turning game data into a clear performance picture

When a goalie logs a game, they are doing more than recording shot counts. They are building a clearer view of how they played: what situations they faced, how they moved, how they were positioned, and what patterns may be emerging over time.

Instead of isolated stat lines, games become detailed snapshots that can be reviewed, compared, and used to guide future work.

Making training part of a long-term development record

When training is tracked consistently, it becomes more than a series of disconnected sessions. It turns into a long-term development record that spans on-ice sessions, off-ice work, mental preparation, vision training, video review, recovery, and more.

This connected training history helps athletes and coaches understand what has actually been emphasized over weeks, months, and seasons, and how that relates to performance in games.

Organizing the Performance Library

When clips, feedback, posts, and resources are organized in the Performance Library, they become easier to access and use. Athletes and companies can review, share, and manage the material that actually matters to development instead of losing it in scattered folders, messages, or notebooks.

This structure supports more efficient video work, clearer communication, and better reinforcement of key themes over time.

Using goalie-specific dashboards to add context

When data is viewed through goalie-specific dashboards, performance becomes easier to interpret. Goalies can see trends rather than just isolated results. Coaches can back up feedback with context. Companies can follow development across the goalies they support. Organizations can gain a clearer view of what their athletes are working on throughout the season and the offseason.

The goal is to move beyond surface-level stats toward information that actually helps drive decisions about training, usage, and support.

Adding support with 10-D, the goalie performance assistant

With 10-D, our goalie performance assistant, athletes can start turning their own data, clips, journals, and training history into better questions and deeper reflections. Instead of simply collecting information, goalies can use it to guide self-evaluation and receive more personal support in their development process.

This is not about replacing the coach. It is about giving both athletes and coaches another tool to make their work together more focused and informed.

Supporting, not replacing, coaching

The aim is not to remove the human element from goalie development. Coaching, mentorship, and relationships will always be at the center of long-term growth.

The aim is to provide coaches, athletes, and development companies with better tools: clearer information, more organized content, and a shared system that reflects the reality of the position instead of forcing goalies into generic stat lines and scattered workflows.

Building a system around the reality of the position

We believe goalie development deserves more than disconnected clips, scattered notes, and basic stats. It deserves a structure built around how goalies actually play, learn, and progress.

3xG exists to help goalies understand their game at a deeper level, help coaches deliver more specific and targeted feedback, help companies offer a better experience to the goalies they support, and help organizations track development in a way that is more meaningful than a box score.

Every game, every training session, every clip, every comment, and every data point can become part of a larger narrative.

That narrative is the goalie's development.

Our mission is to make that story easier to see, easier to understand, and easier to build on.

3xG is here to redefine how goalies are tracked, evaluated, supported, and developed.
